Trade In & Buyback Policy

We're happy to help you give your jewellery a second life — whether you'd like to trade it in for something new or sell it back for cash. Check our Current Gold Price & Calculator to check today's gold price and estimate your Trade-In or Buyback value.

We accept all types and brands of gold jewellery for our Trade-In and Buyback Programme, subject to inspection and verification by CERA.
All items will be tested using a gold testing machine to determine the gold purity before valuation.
The entire inspection, testing, stone removal and weighing process will be recorded on video for transparency.
Any gemstones, zirconia or decorative stones will be removed and melted before weighing, subject to the customer's approval.
Please be advised that once the stones are removed and the jewellery is melted, the jewellery will be permanently altered and cannot be restored to its original condition.
The Trade-In or Buyback value will be based on the gold price displayed on the CERA website on the day we receive and test the item.
For Trade-In, customers will receive a CERA voucher equivalent to the assessed gold value. The voucher can be redeemed towards a future purchase from CERA and cannot be exchanged for cash.
For Buyback, customers will receive payment via bank transfer after accepting the valuation.
Shipping costs and risks are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed by CERA.
CERA reserves the right to decline any item that cannot be properly tested or assessed.
All valuations and decisions made by CERA are final.

How It Works?

Just follow these simple steps:

Snap a Photo & WhatsApp Us

Take clear photos of your jewellery and send them to our team via WhatsApp at 010-400 0080, along with a message stating whether you wish to Trade In or Buy Back your item.

Post Your Jewellery to CERA HQ

Send your item to the following address:

Gold Testing & Inspection

Once we receive your jewellery, our team will inspect the item and test its gold purity using a gold testing machine.

The entire inspection, testing, stone removal and weighing process will be recorded on video for transparency.

Stone Removal & Gold Weighing

If your jewellery contains gemstones, zirconia or decorative stones, we will explain the process before proceeding.

With your approval, the stones will be removed and melted before the remaining gold is weighed for valuation.

Please be advised: Once the stones are removed and the jewellery is melted, the jewellery will be permanently altered and cannot be restored to its original condition.

Gold Price & Valuation

The Trade-In or Buyback value will be calculated based on the gold price displayed on the CERA website on the day we receive and test the item.

Trade-In — You'll receive a CERA voucher equivalent to the assessed gold value, which can be used towards a future purchase from CERA. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
Buyback — The approved Buyback amount will be transferred directly to your bank account.
